The Hip Hop Summit takes place annually during the Back To The City Festival at Museum Africa in Newtown at 10am before the actual BTTC event. The 2017 edition of the Hip Hop Summit will focus on International Relations in terms of Hip Hop culture and business.

BTTC Hip Hop Summit will feature the following panelists:

  1. MAZZI – Def Jam representative from New York, and a world traveling Hip Hop activist.

  1. SKYZOO – A well known and world celebrated lyricist from Brooklyn, New York.

  1. DAMANI NKOSI – A Hip Hop scholar and historian from Los Angeles, California.

  1. T LEE – Owner of Bridge Entertainment, responsible for making Cassper Nyovest a force to be reckoned with in the SA Hip Hop industry and throughout Africa.

  1. KEKE MOKOENA – Publicist, Artist Manager and owner of KM Brands. Handling artists in South Africa and all over Africa, the most notable being the 2015 BET Award winner – Stonebwoy from Ghana.

  1. ANDILE MATHOBELA – and Zkhiphani TV.

Museum Africa has 150 limited seats, so it is first come first in. The entrance fee for the Hip Hop Summit is free but you need a Back To The City ticket to the enter the premises.
